There are many aspects to finding and selecting the right wig for your lifestyle. At EnV hair lounge & wig center, we understand that you may have questions about your wig purchase. We are here to assist you through the process and have developed answers to a few of the most frequently asked questions below.

How do I find the "right" wig for me?

There are many sizes and styles of wigs to choose from so it can be overwhelming at first when selecting the right wig for you and your lifestyle. The first step is to book a wig consult appointment here at the salon. Prior to coming in for your appointment, you can complete the wig consultation form or you can choose to do so upon your arrival.

What are the differences between human hair and synthetic fiber?

Human hair offers the most natural look and feel as well as styling versatility. They are typically more expensive but will last longer. Synthetic fiber is more affordable. Wigs can be worn right out of the box or with minimal styling.

How long does a wig last?

With proper care, human hair can last 1 – 1 ½ years. Synthetic fiber can last 3- 6 months. This will also depend on the amount of wear and styling.

How do I care for my alternative hair?

Wigs should be stored on a wig stand to maintain shape. Wash only when necessary. We recommend professional products formulated for alternative hair.

Should I own more than one wig?

Yes. Wigs can last longer if not worn daily. More than one wig will also give you the opportunity to change style or color.

What are some ways to address thinning hair?

There are options other than a full wig to help conceal thinning hair on top, at the hairline, or at the crown. You may choose a hairpiece, top piece, or half wig to blend naturally with your own hair. Our staff of wig specialists is qualified to answer other questions and concerns you may have about alternative hair.

Do I need an appointment to come into the salon to try on wigs?

Yes, the salon requires a consultation with a trained wig stylist. Our pieces are not out on display. They are safely stored within the salon as to keep them sanitary and safe from becoming damaged.
